About Me
to the nations, for the gospel
Hey, I'm Jensen Lee! I'm from a little town in Virginia that's nestled in the Appalachian Mountains. I love hiking, farming, music, and sipping on some good coffee. I am an English as a second language educator and I am currently starting an English education ministry here in Guatemala! So exciting and so challenging.
a little background...
When I was 15 I went on my first missions trip to a little aldea in Guatemala. Even though it was just a week, I absolutely fell in love. Something in my heart shifted and the Lord spoke to me in such a tangible and raw way. I knew that I could devote my life to nothing else but serving the Lord and the people who are too often forgotten.
That first trip put a fire in my soul to travel and to meet more of the Lord's people. I have since traveled and served in Puerto Rico, Colombia, India, and now I live in Guatemala full time. In between jumping on planes, I got my undergraduate degree in Human Development and Family Science, as well as a Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language.
I decided to study ESL in order to be able to offer a resource to those who need or desire to learn English. English is a tool that individuals can use to expand their job opportunities, survive after immigrating to the US, and/or use it to spread the Gospel around the world.
I am excited to see how the Lord uses my life, education, and passions for His glory. I am so honored to be serving here in Guatemala and I pray it is not the last place I'll go!
Blessings,
Jensen
